Are F1 drivers interested in racing?

No, if a fast driver is fast, he drives off into the distance from the sharp end of the grid. Like Senna has done in 95% of his victories. You are punishing a driver for being faster than others. You are punishing a driver for not being good enough to drive his laps faster than another driver.

You are mistaking a good show with a good sport.
Your proposals have nothing to do with being the best driver, the most talented driver or any sports-like achievement. You want to turn F1 into the WWF, where you are rewarded for being a good actor, not necessarily the best sportsman. If you don't care about skill and just want to watch a show, go watch NASCAR or something. Plenty of overtaking there.

Punishing a driver for being better, faster, is ridiculous and an insult to the very concept of competition and sport.
