How do one appreciate a Nascar race then, beholding a dozen cars behind the pace-car on the penultimate lap?
Like watching eight babes in the bar when the last call rings, by that time I might have double-vision at that?
As I said already in this thread, Nascar fans are likely having a truly superhuman perception abilities. The 6-7 number is a limit of objects a brain can process simultaneously. So 52 cards is entirely possible, if they are not shown at once. And even then there are tricks which aid fast memorizing -- like grouping objects so the group is percieved as one.xpensive wrote:But seriously, the legend of counting a deck of 52 cards, nothing to do with perception?
