Doornbos to replace Klien after Spanish GP

I saw somone calling him door knobs on Speedtv.com, now I can't stop myself.


Sorry for posting something that was not true, I thought it was big news at the time.
All I know is I don't know much....

Hehe, that's OK. I'm only trying to figure out how you guys come to 'Doorknobs'. But I guess the Dutch pronunciation is misleading me. :)

Yeah, the same way everybody calls (and sometimes writes...) "Montiero" to Monteiro. Being a fellow countryman really helps the pronunciation! Another side comment: the name Doornbos must be impossible to identify to a foreigner if said with correct pronunciation, I always raise my eyebrows hearing a Dutch pronouncing a Dutch name :D !!!

If you switch the "b" and the "o" in his name it would read Doornobs.

Which phonetically speaking (huh, inadvertant pun) would sound like door knobs.

This Doorbos = Doornobs most of the time in my head.
All I know is I don't know much....
