If I understand the issues in recharging it's this.
LICO saves fuel, can recharge up to 350 KW but has additional drag due to the active aero going to high down force mode. So the car slows down due to wind resistance and the engine etc.
With super clipping you can stay in active aero on for low drag mode, using the engine can charge the battery faster but is limited to 250 KW, wouldn't this use more fuel than LICO? The car also slows down because some of the power is diverted from the rear tires to charge the battery.
Has anyone determined when it's beneficial to use one over the other or is it team dependent? (ie type of corners, length of straights, track characteristics, etc.) Do you use more super clipping early in the race and LICO more at the end of a race to conserve fuel.
Are teams going to move towards one or the other as the season progresses?

I swear Vasseur already said they'd be running the Melbourne car in China. Either way, if there was pace in hand, Mercedes will just use it anyway and scoot off into the distance. Should be an easy podium again for Ferrari at least.

That would expose their advantage PU wise even more, which will be useful for ADUO

Ferrari will ace sector1, Redbull will ace T7-T8 (only). Mercedes will ace sector3 by a huge margin.

Red Bull are not acing any corner. Mercedes and Ferrari are a different class of car.
