Can anyone please explain why the delta to Merc is greater at Silverstone (around ~2.4 sec) compared to the other tracks? Silverstone is not a power sensitive track, more of a track with high and medium speed corners.GoranF1 wrote:no but we are kicking ass.....mclaren111 wrote:Any signs of the new Rear Wing ??

Its similar to last year where all team were more behind Merc than usual....last year Ferrari won the next race in Hungary although they were 1.7 or something like that behind in UK.a1b2i3r45 wrote:Can anyone please explain why the delta to Merc is greater at Silverstone (around ~2.4 sec) compared to the other tracks? I think his time was set on the super soft tyre which explains the half second improvement from his qualifying

Some of the data collected from today’s programme will be used to aid the development of next year’s McLaren-Honda chassis.
Silverstone is also one of the longer tracks on the calendar...the longer the lap, the greater the delta.GoranF1 wrote:Its similar to last year where all team were more behind Merc than usual....last year Ferrari won the next race in Hungary although they were 1.7 or something like that behind in UK.a1b2i3r45 wrote:Can anyone please explain why the delta to Merc is greater at Silverstone (around ~2.4 sec) compared to the other tracks?
