That's a good spot. I didn't notice it initially. Are they treating it as part of the rear wing pillar to legalize it?

That would be my guess.

Thats a lot of unwanted air going into the diffuser area on the Ferrari. Ouch.
One of my 'will never happen' fantasies is seeing how a full on top F1 organization today would design a 1990 F1 car knowing everything they do now and with all the modern resources we have today.vorticism wrote: ↑11 Feb 2026, 17:09https://i.postimg.cc/gJr9xwRV/image.png

Nature is healing.

The front wings are not exclusively downforce generators. They are also important tools for aero balance and flow conditioning to the floor and rear of the car. So, it's not always the case that you want the largest possible front wing.wiktor977 wrote: ↑13 Feb 2026, 02:55One thing that I don't really understand is the big difference between the teams when it comes to the downforce levels of their wings. I know it's just the test but why do they even bother with lower downforce wings when you hide them at every straight?

Could also be a balance thing. If you generate a lot of downforce at the rear you can balance it with higher downforce at the front.AR3-GP wrote: ↑13 Feb 2026, 03:22The front wings are not exclusively downforce generators.
