LOL. This was funny but come on, I don’t understand why there is trash talk about that driver after what he has done for this team. Some of the stuff written in this topic about him is just wrong and inappropriate.

Lewis drives for Ferrari. You're in the wrong thread.

Well the facts are George Russell never beat that teammate on pace at Spa or Hungary in any season. So with people lining up in this thread to have a go at the team because of these races, they should consider Russell’s own role in limiting the performance. Mercedes shouldn’t have to overdesign the car to compensate for Russell leaving a bunch of time on the table.

I don’t care one bit about Lewis Hamilton. I think he’s fake, PR robot-level fake. And no, I’m not required to like every person walking the earth. That said, I’m not the one crawling into Ferrari threads crying about him, am I?

It’s the Hamilton stans who come slithering out of their holes to toss garbage in here like anyone asked.

And now you’re just throwing nonsense around to discredit George so you can prop up Lewis when everyone knows the truth: he’s washed.

I've never been called a fan of that driver in my life, but there's always something new to experience.

People don't have to like him as a person, but what that driver was capable of on a race track shouldn't be undersold. Russell's race pace still never impressed me compared to him. We shouldn't dwell on a non-Mercedes driver but scrutinizing the past is important to understand what Russell is doing in this car. You know I'm not wrong. What you'll admit in public is another matter entirely. The guy is certainly past his prime, no dispute there, which is why one really needs to scrutinize what they "think" Russell has been doing in the last 3 years vs what he was actually doing. Russell shouldn't have had questions marks about his race pace against an aging teammate. 2023 should never have happened (P3 vs P8). Abu Dhabi 2024 (among others) should never have happened. There's little evidence that Russell is not that same driver. There's more evidence (like you said), that the older guy became more and more laundered...but that doesn't flatter Russell at all considering how quick the other guy still was in the races.

Wow Tonio, that's quite an attack there. But sadly the team isn't doing any better without him.

This is the first time as a Ham fan I'm agreeing with AR3-GP btw so we're not allies in any way

But Lewis always had way better race pace than Russell. He would be getting more out of the car. Btw Russell never got within 3 tenths of Ham during quali at Spa. That's quite damming.

But sure, go off and keep hating, it won't change the facts
