How do you know that?
That is quite a significant change, it will also require significant adjustments to the normal tuning methodology.
I can’t figure out what I’m seeing here (red arrow) - can someone explain?
I think it is a vortex generator.

I see it as adding a high pressure field above the front floor corner. If the wake is a problem though, it makes me think we might see teams try to make these things more outwashing by various means f.e. a small forward portion of the bargeboard ("floor board") could be situated in opposition to the majority of it.

I think B-Sport also suggested the same thing since this was a very open area for development. Especially since keeping the front wheel wake from any aerodynamic parts (outwash) is a no brainer.Vappy wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026, 23:28Someone's a fan of your work, matevorticism wrote: ↑10 Feb 2026, 22:53Someone actually did it.

Cheers, although I did present it as "could be done" not "should be done." They're the only team that's chosen this route so far. IMO you want to use the floor board as it's intended--not fight against it. Why I posted the first depiction of horizontal (wing like) floor board elements online back in June, later corroborated by what most teams brought to the Barcelona test. viewtopic.php?p=1293691#p1293691
