I don't think they have complained publicly, it's all lobbying behind the scenes.
Audi, Honda, and Ferrari are all understood to have raised concerns to the governing body, triggering the initial meeting.
Only Audi people have been complaining about it explicitly in interviews. I think they are the only ones screwed.collindsilva wrote: ↑05 Feb 2026, 10:47Had read that post, it was more than a month ago, i am afraid maybe Honda has missed the trick since they and Audi are looking for protest, Wazari San may be knowing the actual status, just trying to get some insider info![]()
Interesting choice for the photo op. It makes sense because the FIA did not previously monitor airflow, only fuel flow. So they're a new, major feature of the engines, hence, placed right at the top of the engine. These FIA sensors, according to me, appear to be an array of 3 or 4 hot wire anemometer pairs (per sensor), which act as MAF and MAP sensors. Where they will actually go on the charge pipe is probably up to the builders.AR3-GP wrote: ↑20 Jan 2026, 20:02The two "horns" on the upper side are also striking. "The horn-like bulges are necessary because a standardised boost pressure sensor is required so that the FIA can monitor the maximum boost pressure," explains Kakuda. "For demonstration purposes, we mounted it where it is clearly visible."
In the RBPT virtual render, it is behind the engine.Hoffman900 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2026, 04:40To be honest, when you look where the suspension ties in, how slim you want things for aero, where else would you even put it?

So they have critical mass now to make changes.FNTC wrote: ↑05 Feb 2026, 12:23I don't think they have complained publicly, it's all lobbying behind the scenes.

This is surely a matter of the manufacturers, separately to teams. How else could you weight it to account for Mercedes having 4 customers and Honda only supplying 1?
Nope, the rules were changed from everyone having to be in agreement to a super majority (3 out of 4 makes that number).
You'd think the PU would have been on dynos for sometime now. You'd have to believe alot of this has to do with the installation into the chassis.Snorked wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026, 17:04Seems like the engine is a dud.
Matteo Bobbi Sky F1 Italy, having spoken with the people at Aston Martin who say it’s really bad.
- Under powered
- Vibrations are breaking ancillaries
- Looking to utilise additional development and upgrade opportunities
- Honda working on a new PU for 2027
And now Stroll says they have problems with the engine.
It’s not sounding good.![]()
But doesn't that still include all entities. FIA, FOM, teams, engine manufacturers? With I don't know how many votes assigned to each of them.diffuser wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026, 16:41Nope, the rules were changed from everyone having to be in agreement to a super majority (3 out of 4 makes that number).
At least Stroll is a definite source. He doesn't care about anything (outside himself) to lie. However him saying, they don't have power and are off the pace doesn't mean much if they still test with capped power.Snorked wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026, 17:04Seems like the engine is a dud.

Gossip from Italians like Ferrari will win champ.they should elaborate which parts got broken because of vibrations. The media is biased ie merc is the greatest and some pu from far away land is always looked down upon. It's silly and its not news.Snorked wrote: ↑12 Feb 2026, 17:04Seems like the engine is a dud.
