Because he says a lot of false things during his commentary and has no real understanding of aero or power unit. That's why sky has a lot of other people who are better at technical things and they can explain better some things.
Not even Ted Kravitz is a credible source for me regarding updates considering how many times he missed with his 'predictions and insider info' during his notebook.
They may have some real info this time, but why not post directly as a skyf1 piece instead of a spanish twitter account? They love some insider info and breaking news.
His remarks were reportedly made on a Sky Sports podcast, obviously this twitter account is repeating news thar has been reported by various outlets quoting Croft. I'm sure he's just relaying info he's obtained from discussions around the paddock or could even off the record conversations with McLaren staff, it's not a far-fetched scenario. Besides, he didn't mention specifics, and it's actually common knowledge upgrades are coming in Miami and Canada.
It is common knowledge that upgrades are coming in Miami and further, the claim is that they are seeing good sim numbers and they will challenge Mercedes.
I think Zak already said that they want some wins and are quite optimistic but they could've just quoted Zak and not a skyf1 journo.
To me this is not news and definitely not credible source, but recycled info with some clickbait title for clicks during this long break.
We have/had some insider info regarding Mclaren on this forum and was driven away by some users and now we're posting some Crofty said spanish tweet as a credible source?
Oh sweet irony. This is just my opinion ofc and by no means want to offend the user who posted this as i'm sure they mean well. Each is free to post what the rules allow.
Edit: Brundle is not Crofty and doesn't say things unless he has actual info, so it's not ok to put Brundle and Crofty in the same category.
