They've definitely taken the new rear wing edge approach to this new rear wing.
Thicker LE at the corners probably for increased df stability at cost of efficiency? Nobody else does this. Could be to do with AMR correlation issues?
LE ?

Stroll out for the rest of Fp1 they say on Sky. Needs to change gearbox, floor, etc.

This team can never seriously have WCC ambitions until they remove this obvious weak spot from the team. Even Lawrence at this point must know.

That's not thicker, that's curved upwards. They want more air to go under the wing, for whatever reason.

Driver did a bad job, engineer too. Told him too late about LEC, but in the end there are mirrors…

Something has changed recently in the way things are run internally at Aston Martin in preparation for a GP. Drugovich has been doing simulator testing on Fridays before going to the GP as a reserve driver. Maybe the official simulator driver is busy, but this thing (Drugovich in the simulator on fridays) has not happened for the last 2 years.

Pace better than expected. I know it’s only free practice, but better than I thought it would be

Track position is everything in Monaco. Alonso can have a great race if he can re-produce something similar to Imola.
Having said that ,AMR25 is supposedly struggles managing slow corners. Anything in Top 10 is a bonus here.

Yes, the FP times mean absolutely nothing right now. I would be ecstatic to see a top 10 qualifying.

Tires aren't gonna be a problem with the forced two stopper. Slow pit stops will be the bigger problem to avoid. It's gonna take sub 1:11 to make it into Q3.

There is still the analysis of the data to come up with the best setup for tomorrow.

The mandatory new two-stop rule will bring some fun this Sunday
Two stops or three dry sets?

Not the same with a red flag...
i believe its the latter. they must use 3 sets of dry tires, and 2 different types.

Alonso must be desperate to score points.
Finishing the season with fewer points than Stroll would be a huge stain on his career lol

i believe its the latter. they must use 3 sets of dry tires, and 2 different types.
"Following recent discussions in the F1 Commission, a specific requirement for the Monaco GP has been approved mandating the use of at least three sets of tyres in the race, with a minimum of two different tyre compounds to be used if it's a dry race."
https://www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433 ... rt-council

So they can use the same compound of tire twice.
