Badger, I am focused alright. 3 titles in 2 seasons did that for me =D>

Do us a favour, go focus on Max Bull- it’s in another thread somewhere
Then focus on McLaren having a good weekend with the upgrades instead of constantly projecting your insecurities about Verstappen in the McLaren thread.

I don’t constantly project any insecurities about Verstappen as I don’t have any.

It’s his fans mentality that I absolutely can not stand. I can’t believe I’ve just spoken to one for so long.
Just a fan's point of view*

There is nothing wrong for a driver to excel in each generation. What I don't like is the double standards and mentality today's community and press are having. An overhype that drowns everything else though I don't expect anyone to understand but I'm not a sheep to join the bandwagon.

Anyway. Going back on topic. Considering park ferme is lifting I hope the team can fix whatever happened yesterday and show us a car that will be competitive for a victory here.

Yea, well DP we have been told by the stand in mod who’s only been a member here for 10 minutes that we can’t talk about it anymore

First of all love that signature.
Second of all do you think since we start earlier and the weather is gonna be hot and probably the wind might change. Do you think the team might be able to turn things around?

Race pace should still be strong, the trouble will be that everybody is similar in race pace and we will find it difficult to overtake on track.
Lando in p4 has every chance of jumping kimi at the start. I fully expect leclerc to lead into turn 1 and lando hopefully p2.

I am confident Lando can jump everyone but Leclerc.

Very odd. 3 tenths slower today than yesterday’s sprint quali….?

This season is starting to look like the from book from 2024 only McLaren and Mercedes have flipped positions, Max is in there. Ferrari too with loads of hype and promise but ultimately end up being third
Third is in any case better than fourth. And regarding promises and hype, it was quite the opposite between mcLaren and Ferrari. McLaren have been the ones that spent bullish words regarding their updates ("A completely new car", "worth 4 tenths at least", "we'll soon grab wins on merit"). Ferrrari just anticipated they'd bring a very consistent package (which is a fact, their official update sheet lists 11 new elements) and actually Leclerc even claimed he thought it was not going to be enough to leapfrog Mercedes.

I dont think Mclaren was overhyping their upgrades and the performance during the sprint qualifying and race events was decent. The car was perfect but then wind and power unit issues occured which makes me believe that Norris could have challenged for firstm

It’s almost like you can’t say anything in the Mclaren thread in fear of upsetting a rival fan

Nobody is upset here. If you tell fake news (not to say b******t) regarding rival team, you'll have people wanting to restore the factual truth.

I think what we saw in Race quali was why GP had such a lucrative offer from Mclaren. Trackside engineering has always been the teams weakness in this modern era

Great job by Norris. I wonder if they informed him of a SC coming? It makes sense to dump all energy if you know SC will be deployed.

Verstappen blocked Norris heavily at the start, without that block Norris would be clear in P2.
