What a shame fernando is not with maca anymore with his race pace he could finish in top 5 each race with this car
It doesn't work this way.
Mc is so good because Alonso is not driving it... ;)

Fantastic qualifying from the team and they aren’t starting to make us dream again of having the team fighting at the front... If anything the most important piece of data for the team is in regards to their improvement year on year... They showed considerable improvement in Australia and they are showing it again in Bahrain.

I’m most excited about the second half of the season, since if the team continues to develop the car their improvement delta will continue to grow through the season.

They are getting a hold of the new car concept and seems to be well balanced between drag and downforce.

Very high expectations for tomorrow’s race! Don’t want to make any predictions, but expecting them to finish better than they are starting.

Playing devils advocate again... But it's lucky that RBR and Alfa don't have 2 top drivers. This could make it a bit easier foor McLaren in that midfield. Disappointing qualy for Renault though, surely they won't be bettered by another customer team through the season.

Look at this guy. Always trying to find something negative. Kimi is behind Sainz isn’t he. You coups also say that the car could have been on P5 with Alonso. It simply makes no sense. But looking at your last messages, you started to feel more for Renault right? How about you keep posting in their topic.

I would actually be happy for Renault even if they finish ahead of McLaren (and they already have done for a while). Purely because it would mean someone is getting closer to the top 3 and hopefully give them a hard time like RBR do to Ferrari and Merc. I have more faith in Renault than I do McLaren at the moment and I like their drivers better. Their car looks cool too.

My support for McLaren has been worn away down to almost having a "soft spot" for them. No passion like in the Hakkinen/DC/Kimi/Montoya/Hamilton/Button/Alonso days.

How can one support a team that keeps making terrible decisions. This year will show if sacking Honda was another terrible decision. Any bets that Honda might actually be decent this year?

Just something bloody change please!

Sorry that went into a bit of a rant.

Alfa -2.041s
McLaren -1.399s
Haas -0.601s
RP -0.118s
Ferrari -0.092s
Renault -0.082s
Mercedes +0.066s
STR +0.184s
Williams +0.345s
RBR +0.354s
I said playing devils advocate. Maybe you don't know what that means?
Yeah whatever, you're certainly not a fan. This is what you said after one race. You try to act all nice in here, while constantly sending me PM's to ******** off. I'm just calling you out on your drama. How about giving McLaren some time instead of constanly asking for changes.

Just something bloody change please!

I've been asking for those since yesterday... No luck
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Renault engine accelerates the chassis faster, and the maximum speed is higher.

Really promising effort from both guys today.

Taking Ferrari out of the equation, as on one lap pace they are in a league of their own, to be within 6 tenths of Hamilton and Bottas is absolutely stunning progress from where this team was last year.

Given that the Mercs turn things up a notch in Q3, that bodes extremely well for McLaren in the race when the PUs usually converge a little more.

It’s all gonna be about the tyres tomorrow- I have a feeling Ferrari might chew through theirs so who knows what might happen.

Am I the only one who loves our unique Renault Engine sound? I haven't seen that in another car. Reminds me of the V10 Era.

Sounds promising but we need to see McLarens Race Pace!
Anyone know what McLaren’s Race pace is like

Indeed very promising and positive results today, glad Mclaren is picking up it's pace again and creeping back to the front.

Unless this track just suits the car, we are not .5 seconds behind Haas and we can outdevelop them. Right now I have my eyes on passing Red Bull in the race.
Ironically, it was at this track that showed the first signs last year that the team were in trouble. What a turnaround they've made, great effort, hope they can keep progressing.
Yes it is true, it was the first track that focused on Aero. I'm happy that we qualified well in Australia and here, two different types of track.
