Alonso retires. Lasted 14 laps.
He's back out. Just taking a break from the vibrations.
Is that the case? I hope not

I don’t know how to feel, weird but also this is not F1 and not racing
Super clipping kills the excitement.
Do you notice that during the race? I don't think so

It is an energy management race…. Better and more efficient PU wins.

Alpine in points… if they bring upgrades and a more competitive car. Someone is going to call Briatore for next year.

No way. If I had to bet today, I'd bet that Aston Martin will finish 2026 ahead of Alpine.

Except MB and then Ferrari on the positive side and AM on the negative, the rest of the teams don't seem to me to have things excessively clear. The first laps were quite lively, the rest of the race seemed like a poker game to me.

Not sure what to tell you. This is one of the worst races of the year for the super clipping. It has the few braking zones. There be a few like this though. The funny thing is they took the chicane out of this track to give more passing chances. Unfortunately with these regs, the cars would have worked better if they would put the chicane back in.

Hopefully they got some good data from that and all that vibrating wasn't too hard on Lance's wrist.

It's absurd in the least to blame AM or Newey because Honda failed again, framing it as they should be monitoring the program.

Honda are a giant company compared to any F1 team. Is everyone forgetting that Newey had already been working with them at RBR for a few years?

It's not unrealistic then that he would have confidence in anything they tell him, and likely to believe the team who were building engines for RBR would just continue for AMR.

It's not his job to get a list of people at Honda and compare to before. Why would it be?
I hope you are being facetious. If some journalists knew this in 2021-22 itself ; how come 'god' didn't know about it ? Are you telling me the likes of Newey & Cowell will be happy to read some 'status report' emails from Honda and believe what they are seeing, instead of actually asking for CAD files, dyno data etc right from the initial stages, instead of waiting until the 2nd half of 2025 ? We didn't know about the 'limited resources of Honda' - It's utter BS in the press conf, to cover their hitherto lackadaisical communication with their engine partner.
dude youre just reaching really hard to blame anybody at aston martin. newey hasnt even been there for a year yet. in which time, hes been knees deep, several months behind building a car (his job). cowell has been to japan several times before all this came to light. but honestly, building hondas power unit isnt his job either. theres a reason why F1 teams partner with different companies to build their PU's. its because they assume that an engine manufacturer that has won several championships in the last decade know how to build a PU. i dont even understand your argument really. are you saying that all these multi world championship winning engineers just said "who cares" when they heard honda was having problems? do you think they just did it to make honda look bad? i dont get it. the argument youre so enthusiastic about just doesnt make sense. if they are bending the story a little bit, who tf cares. it happens in f1 every single day haha

I can't imagine where AM will find 30 horsepower, even if FIA reduces the electrical component by 150 kW.
Waiting until the next season every season is depressing
