Senna would have won that year in a RENAULT....manchild wrote:1. Schuey won WDC in 1994 = true fact that says good thing about him

Did you conclude that McLaren and BMW were cheating too then?manchild wrote: I conclude that they were cheating because they've changed their front wings after FIA told them to do so. If they were certain that detail analysis would prove that their wings are legal they wouldn't have changed them, would they?
So he was stubborn and stuck in his ways. He wasn't an engineer, he was a manager. How good a manager he was is a different story.dumrick wrote:Ok, I decided to come out of the closet... I hate Ferrari, too!
All important innovations in F1 came from elsewhere and Ferrari always had a very conservative approach. Enzo always defended the sillyest things like front-engined sports cars ("the horses pull the wagon, not the other way around"), like what mattered were big and powerful engines, not the chassis,
And where are they all now? Ferrari is one of if not the most recognisiable brands in the world now so he must have done something right.dumrick wrote:like a sports car is designed to accelerate, not to brake, and so on... to be constantly taken back to reality by the competition (Cooper central-engined F1's, Lamborghini Miura, Porsche and Lotus)
how can Ferrari be a myth, it exists?saam wrote:Let me put it to you this way, facts and figures tell the truth, not YOUR opinion.... bottom line
lets hope ferrari wins in monaco so we can have more experts on the pannel
Ferrari is more than just a brand, its a myth a legend.....
Yes, certianly.Scuderia_Russ wrote:Did you conclude that McLaren and BMW were cheating too then?
Ferrari from 1947 to 1995 is a myth and legend but Ferrari from 1996 onwards is just a brand. Nowdays it is nothing but a logo and heritage exploited by small group of people who don't share a bit of Enzo's passion and use his heritage, success and glory as a sticker on their products saying "Buy this - it is Ferrari".m3_lover wrote:how can Ferrari be a myth, it exists?saam wrote:Ferrari is more than just a brand, its a myth a legend.....
Well, if you have the slightest bit of knowledge about road cars you would know that now Ferrari's are reaching a state of perfection, I could give you a link to a motoring review about one if you don't believe me. Now why would they make the cars so good if they're exploiting the Ferrari image?Manchild wrote:Nowdays it is nothing but a logo and heritage exploited by small group of people who don't share a bit of Enzo's passion and use his heritage, success and glory as a sticker on their products saying "Buy this - it is Ferrari".
Yeah, I suppose you're right thereI know they make excellent cars but new Ferrari management is also abusing logo to sell cameras, laptops, mobile phones and pile of other memorabilia crap that has nothing to do with Ferrari. Enzo could have done the same in his time but his heart was much bigger than appetite of his bank account.
Well, you have a point and a good one. I think MC is trying to explain that, when you are in the public eye, you cannot only BE good. You have to be good and, besides, you have TO SEEM to be good. This is what the romans called honor. It is an intangible, it is not in facts, it is in your heart, ultimately. The idea is that people can see in your face, in your expressions, in sum, in you entire attitude, if you, yourself, feel you deserve the win. And, of course, this is open to interpretation. You cannot be loved just based on facts.zac510 wrote:A fact plus another fact equals just two facts. Two facts are not a conclusion or an answer. Two facts plus an opinion is a conclusion!
