Haha, I'm not the only one. I was also watching the wind, especially after Stroll's P2 time. I think Russell? also said something about the wind on the radio.diffuser wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 02:55I was looking at the wind speed and it was going up and down. Between 2 and 9 kph. It was also out of the SW. That makes it a tail wind into turn 3 and an increase in DF when the wind dies down. The wind seem to have gone up when Alonso had his run in Q2. That might explain the differences in times for the guys that finished ahead of Alonso but who's Q3 times we're slower that Alonso's Q2 time.
A little evidence, not a solid argument.
The prevailing wind yesterday was south with an average speed of 4 km/h, but with gusts. Apparently, the weather was pre-stormy.
By the way, they should put up more flags. I was looking at the treetops because I think there's only one flag on the entire circuit. I didn't notice any noticeable wind...
Hmm... this F1 thing is complicated. I guess that's why I like it.
ADD: Since Friday, the wind has shifted from SE to W, and tomorrow it's forecast to be N. RBRing has mountains to the north, nearby. So it shouldn't be windy. We'll see. I'm very Cartesian, Diffuser, about mysteries and haunted things... I always assume they have an explanation. But those statements by Fernando (that the car is a rebel)... We'll see. We're in more of a hurry every day, so we'll have to take everything slowly.
