James on Beyond the Grid Podcast:
“This is more of an ‘oh God, how could we have been so dumb?!’ type moment, where you see the path forward and you should have seen it sooner!”
“The thing that has bedevilled us from the start of the year was that you could get the car okay in a slow corner, you could get it quite decent in a fast corner, but you couldn't get it good in both at the same time.

“What has changed in the last two or three races is that we've modified the car in such a way that it actually has a reasonable high to low-speed balance and a reasonable through-corner balance.

“It just means that the driver can trust both the front and rear axle in a fast corner and a slow corner and can trust it from when he hits the brakes at the beginning of the corner, all the way through the apex and out the other side.

“That balance is crucial to a driver, that they know whether the car is going to understeer or oversteer, and that it's going to follow the trajectory they're asking.”
This being said.. can we go back to zero pods?
For Sure!!

Pretty sure Allison has said that the zero pod design was too limiting to the aerodynamicists and now they have a lot more room to play so probably never going to return

Rumours are that someone aligned with the RedBull camp certainly sent that sabotage email to destablize the team, amd most importantly to avenge Christian Horner.

Rumor is, it was sent to the same audiences that the Horner chats were sent to. So you can guess who would be behind. Allegedly, Marko was about to be fired as he was allegedly behind the Horner chats leak.

Prema with an absolute mare in the sprint. We’re in the hands of Wolffs talent judgement, because there’s not really a lot we can take from this yrs campaign; we won’t enjoy a display of excellence from ANT, zero scope
Team ANTI-HYPE. Prove it, then I’ll anoint you.

The list of names was public for a while, so forever... so it could be anyone.

By the way, the "rumors" are this:

Building beyond that is, yes, manufacturing rumors.
Rivals, not enemies.

Yeah the car is terrible. Kimi is destroying bearman in qualifying though and he drove a good defensive race today. He wasn’t easy to pass unlike Bearman although he lost too many positions at the start. My feeling is Antonelli will be a solid f1 driver while bearman will be mediocre or might not cut it. I don’t see verstappen level talent in kimi though.

The car still seems like 4th best.
Redbull have found their usual dominant race pace here in Barcelona. Mclaren as strong as ever and Ferrari upgrades working well.
But let's see if like last year the car goes better in the race on the hard tyre.
W15 seems very promising.
The thing with f1 seasons is how long they aee and how much happens in a short space of time. We would be made to think the improvements suggested by Lewis screwed over the w15 at the start of the season. He clearly didnt make them but was blamed for pitching the engineering team in that direction; the moncoque seating position etc. Now we don't hear that same noise being made from the team's critics as things are turning around and Allyson's impact is materializing.
For Sure!!

Third best car. Great progress to be only 3 tenths off here and ahead of the Ferraris. Congrats to Norris. Ham finally finishing just ahead of George. I bet he will be all smiles in the post quali interviews. This is going to be an exciting rest of the season.

Its probably going to give him some confidence for sure even if its just 0.002 secs separating them, good job from both him and George

Mercedes still don't fully understand tyre preparation, which is ultimately the difference between first and the second row. But what a progress so far! Their trajectory of progress is highest amongst the top 4 teams. They have more wind tunnel time of the top 4. So hopefully this is going to be an upward journey from here.

As I understand it both VER & NOR got a tow too. The gap to them is maybe a touch exaggerated
