The cuts were there from day 1, if you go a few pages back you will see them. However, its obvious they will need to rework the mounting points so they can keep those in placekfrantzios wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:15The boomerang wing in the bargeboards has broken of twice today....First on the left side and then on the right side. Plus there are some cuts on top of it today...
Indeed they were. No mounting points though. Its a single piece of carbon fiber as far as i can tell. I guess its just bad design.bauc wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:17The cuts were day from day 1, if you go a few pages back you will see them. By mounting points I mean the place where it attaches to the floor/chassiskfrantzios wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:21Indeed they were. No mounting points though. I think those cuts are to comply with regulations.kfrantzios wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:15The boomerang wing in the bargeboards has broken of twice today....First on the left side and then on the right side. Plus there are some cuts on top of it today...
Does it fail at the joint to the rest of the barge board structure? (it it not attached to the floor or chassis)bauc wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:22By mounting points I mean the place where it attaches to the floor/chassiskfrantzios wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:21Indeed they were. By the way it broke off it seems that the front attachment brokekfrantzios wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:29Does it fail at the joint to the rest of the barge board structure? If it breaks in the red sections, i guess they need to reinforce the section indicated with the blue arrow.charliesmithhd wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:30By the way it broke off it seems that the front attachment brokekfrantzios wrote: ↑20 Feb 2019, 16:29Does it fail at the joint to the rest of the barge board structure? Then it means the boomerang is creating more load than they expected. To me this is a good thing, it means they underestimated it's effect.
