My concern is Alonso & Lance side by side at Turn 1.
stroll is very good on this track. i believe he still holds the track record from a racing point car, unless it was beaten today... i think maybe its "in race track record" obviously not quali.Sedaxel wrote: ↑02 Aug 2025, 17:15Yeah, but Stroll made two tries in Q2. Alo made his lap much earlier, and just over try.
However, in Q3 Alo had two tries, and Stroll was very close.
Great job by both.
There is a wet to dry transition in the race
Being able to see where is the 0.1 seconds difference... It's really hard, I'd say.TLof wrote: ↑02 Aug 2025, 20:17Watched Alonso's final Q3 atempt. I also watched the Alonso/Leclerc side-by-side lap. It's really just nuances and Alonso's lap looked pretty decent to me. Slight oversteer at the end of the penultimate corner, but it didn't look like it cost much if anything. So Stroll's lap must have been pretty good, too.
Not exactly. Since silverstone race pace on Alonso's side ahs been good. Spa is a one off. Hopefully..... (There is raint armor row so race pace on dry shouldn't matter too much)Rockypeeters wrote: ↑02 Aug 2025, 18:55Who confirmed this?
Where did you find that words?diffuser wrote: ↑02 Aug 2025, 19:09Fernando Alonso: "The front wing, which is maybe the first race that we properly use the front wing, is giving us that extra load in the corners, and in Hungary, obviously, it's very important."
"So, I think it's the third time, Imola package, and then the floor in Silverstone, and then the front wing now, all three upgrades deliver exactly what we were expecting. So, this is very encouraging for next year's project."

This is from the F1 website.Sedaxel wrote: ↑02 Aug 2025, 23:11Where did you find that words?diffuser wrote: ↑02 Aug 2025, 19:09Fernando Alonso: "The front wing, which is maybe the first race that we properly use the front wing, is giving us that extra load in the corners, and in Hungary, obviously, it's very important."

What I've seen in his interview is not in that line (actually, he seems to think the contrary):
“No hicimos nada diferente a lo de Spa, solo que parece que nuestro coche se adapta mejor a un circuito que a otro, y esa es la cuestión, entender por qué se adapta mejor y en qué ventana trabaja mejor nuestro coche para usarla cada fin de semana”
He basically said that they did nothing to get this improvement, versus what they did last weekend. That's why I'm so surprised of that things you quoted. Did he say that??
