Lance 0.1s off pole?? Alo there with his back issues wow.
Car was insane today.
Indeed. Hope the race pace can be the real surprise guys! Imagine our race pace is better than our qualifying pace like 2023?
It's hard to pass here, Remember Hamilton trying to pass Alonso in the Alpine here? Took like 10 laps and the Merc was alot faster (over a second a lap faster) than the Alpine..
I don’t really want to see a race where we are effectively the bottleneck but with Hamilton out of position and Red Bulls race pace I’m not sure what we can achieve but hopefully they don’t mess up the strat or pitstops for either and we get a good clean executed race.

Passing Russel on first lap will be crucial to try for podium.
My concern is Alonso & Lance side by side at Turn 1. [-o< [-o<

Stroll is a very limited driver but he usually starts the races very well.

Need to see telemetry but I feel like alonso must have had made a mistake considering he was a couple tenths faster than stroll in q1/q2. Also just realised that tenth could be due to going earlier
Stroll finished ahead of Alonso in Q2, with a pretty much faultless lap. He was doing a fine job today, no wonders it was close. In fact, they were separated by thousandths in S2 & S3.
Yeah, but Stroll made two tries in Q2. Alo made his lap much earlier, and just over try.

However, in Q3 Alo had two tries, and Stroll was very close.

Great job by both.
stroll is very good on this track. i believe he still holds the track record from a racing point car, unless it was beaten today... i think maybe its "in race track record" obviously not quali.

There is a wet to dry transition in the race
Also the slower track means the race will go on even in much wetter conditions. Everything to play for.

solid lap on mediums that have been used for several laps. are we running the new silverstone floor and wing?
Yeah, i dont have any hope because was confirm they focus 100% on qualy pace. Probably tomorrow we will suffer like a hell on race pace.
Who confirmed this?

Fernando Alonso: "The front wing, which is maybe the first race that we properly use the front wing, is giving us that extra load in the corners, and in Hungary, obviously, it's very important."

"So, I think it's the third time, Imola package, and then the floor in Silverstone, and then the front wing now, all three upgrades deliver exactly what we were expecting. So, this is very encouraging for next year's project."

Watched Alonso's final Q3 atempt. I also watched the Alonso/Leclerc side-by-side lap. It's really just nuances and Alonso's lap looked pretty decent to me. Slight oversteer at the end of the penultimate corner, but it didn't look like it cost much if anything. So Stroll's lap must have been pretty good, too.

Being able to see where is the 0.1 seconds difference... It's really hard, I'd say.

I got very surprised to see that lap from Lec. He wasn't very good on Q1 and Q2. I think he made a monster lap today.

Not exactly. Since silverstone race pace on Alonso's side ahs been good. Spa is a one off. Hopefully..... (There is raint armor row so race pace on dry shouldn't matter too much)

Also to add to that somehow the Aston Martins are the fastest cars in a straight line with DRS but importantly they have the highest sped coming out of the last corner except the Red Bulls. So it's gonna be impossible to overtake them and if they keep the tyres alive they can stuck closer to cars in front on the last corner and overtake them with DRS.
