Red Bull RB21

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I'm sure there were plenty of changes to stuff we can't see. We'll get the upper aero updates before the first race.

I genuinely can't spot anything different apart from the beamwing and the halo winglet

I count the same number. The furthest rearwards one on the 2025 car is just not as visible in that photo

Makes sense, but I can't see any difference in the suspension, the geometry looks identical.
there's a little change in one arm of rear suspension (good spot by Emag), but yeah, not very much....also, wasn't the front suspension to be critical last year ? guess we will have to wait and see
I don't see any difference. It's just camera angle. The car we've been shown is identical to the RB20 visually.
Look were it is relative to the honda logo. Either the bodywork is different, or the suspension is different.

The front suspension arm (of the rear suspension) definitely looks a more flat angle. Too much for it just to be parallax.
Other than that I suspect they want real world correlation of the baseline changes

Rear body panels are 100% different. Look at the panel gaps near the 'knee' of the bull.

Do you think there was a major mistake made during R&D last year for RB20 but it was specific to one part of the car that is underneath and couldn't be changed after a crash test and they are testing it out now with the RB20 to see if the changes they have made now correlate to what they wanted to achieve early last year? Once the correlation is proved by the tests over these three days, then further development can go ahead? Presumably, further development has been done but is based on the corrected data..

You are right. The inlets behind the driver head are gone.

Yep, also look at the 'E'. That surface is more flat then RB20. Looks like that internal ducting is gone.

Great eye marcel! So this is probably the launch spec given this must've all been manufactured freshly

Maybe that front wishbone is attaching slightly higher on the gearbox, but really discrete.

Around the mounting of the upper/rear wishbone of the front suspension is a (small) panel on the monocoque. The wishbone is relatively lower to that panel now it looks. Question is, is that just the panel, or the wishbone position that has changed? And if just the panel, why did they change that?

It's going to be remarkably difficult to find images online and be sure which car you're looking at, the rb20 or rb21, with the current minute scale of difference
Sponsor logos is the easiest way. No ByBit or Mexican sponsors like Claro.
