What's a CLR?
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just run out of talent

i've just remembered.. isn't it that the engines in 2007 can be replaced on fridays? so the engine has to cross less milage now.. this might be a reason for decreased reliabilty for almost all teams, won't u agree?
today a renault, a bmw, a toyota, and a red bull stopped on track... but the good thing is that the ferraries covered more than 1200KM today :!:

It would not be interesting if we all admired all marques and drivers equally. It would'nt be human nature. It's possible that MC does not express bias or sarcasm but that elements of his posts actually evoke the inherent insecuruties of some. They recruit considerable comment from Ferrari admirers and actually attract a number of members to our forum. I really don't understand the extreme sensitivity of some Ferrari enthusiasts - after all the team has experienced some success over the last few years. I have noticed his posts are never of a personal nature and are always civil.
Hi, I have no problems with being sarcastic MC I love it  but it's so damn difficult to recognise I he is just being damn ignorant or sarcastic. I mean I don't care if someone has another opinion of Ferrari than me at all fine if you want to shout about Ferrari or Mclaren or whatever I do that with my friends and it's great to see that there is quite a bit of freedom of speech in the F1 world without being killed as happens in football and the world in general. So I'm not trying to attack him tell him to shut up. It's just that I would like him to get his facts right.

BTW here is a post where Ferrari bashing is a must :P :viewtopic.php?p=46864#46864

Your right. It's a great Forum with an enjoyable mix of personalities, opinions and occasionally facts. I like all 3 mixed but not shaken

F2007 Engine problems

Has anyone paid attention to Spyker? Seeing how they are using the same spec engine.....I havent seen any major issues for them.

Welcome to the forum. Perhaps those are gearbox caused problems on engine? Spyker and STR don't have same gearbox as Ferrari.

I was under the impression the Ferrari gearbox was titanium/composite. The basic structure was titanium with external carbon fiber support.

Despite all the fine engineering and manufacture, the only way to verify reliability and pace is to test on track. Even though teams all hope for uneventful testing sessions, when something breaks or goes wrong, everyone has the same thought. "I'm sure glad we caught that here rather than during a points race".

I agree there with you, but I still think that Ferrar is pushing thier engines and gearboxes to thier limits, running different camshafts and eletrical set ups, probably trying some new software setups also, but have a tried and test reliable set up that will bring them home comfrotable in the lead.
Whenever they have led in testing, they have led by a fair margin, I do think they will have the fastest CAR on the grid, perhaps not the most reliable drivers though. Anyone remember the massa/raikonnen days at sauber?

Yea. Raikkonen was actually GOOD in his rookie year.

In Sauber I think it was Raikkonen and Heidfeld, wasn't it?

Yes. Massa was Raikkonen's replacement when he moved to McLaren.

Seems to me that everything is going to be fine, as Simon explains many things, more specifically Kimi's problems coming out of Oz and Malaysia as well. As well as some inside info on engine development for the 056 engine.
And it also seems to me that Ferrari wont be having any more problems with their engines, and aside, no problems in any other departments as well. [-o<
