I agree, one of the reasons why I wouldn’t be surprised if Russel is at BrazilAeroDynamic wrote: ↑07 Nov 2021, 23:24It obliviously doesn’t matter now because with the pace in the car it didn’t matter if the MCS were ahead or behind. But it is worth mentioning that it seemed Valterri was fighting Lewis more than max and thinking of himself mostly, which ended up contributing to his result today. He definitely should have moved to the right to help stream his teammate along but once Lewis got along side he should have retaken the racing line, instead he kept Lewis hugged more toward the inside which was unnecessary. He should’ve held the racing line and moved right back on it once it became clear him and Lewis were side by side and the scenario wasn’t appropriate anymore to help provide the slipstream.
All weekend the Mercedes struggled with braking late into corner one. It even cost several sets to try and find the limit in the FPs. The Mercedes rear hugging the ground gives high topspeed but perhaps grip on braking is the sacrifice? Could that be?Pany wrote: ↑07 Nov 2021, 23:21After watching the start again and again, my personal conclusion is bottas had a bad start and was.easily passed by lewis first, without slipstream. Then max took the stream and was quicker than bottas in taking external line, accellerating like hell. Bottas could do nothing
Bottas is probably getting pretty fed up about the pitstops. It certainly didn't take 2 days this time but still, 11 sec...
Seems premature. This is a high-altitude track with lots of slow corners. It remains to be seen if Red Bull are also easily faster at Silverstone-style tracks with primarily fast corners. It also seems to depend on track temperature.
Yup.AeroDynamic wrote: ↑07 Nov 2021, 23:38On Sunday, absolutely.
Bottas is strong doing laps on an empty track but has no game when it comes to racing. The car dictates his racing performance more than other drivers.
