for me it feels like lewis wants a more neutral car? he complains a lot about understeer as much as oversteer..
both drivers complain about it, Charles has mentioned a few times how hard the car is to drive because of the extreme setups they need to do and again complained about balance issues today

Hamilton also admitted that he's edging closer towards his team-mate's set-up. While he's not entirely comfortable with the levels of oversteer it produces, it seems to be bearing fruit.

"Set-up even closer to Charles, yeah," he said. "He drives a massively oversteering car. Somehow slides the rear, so it doesn't have degradation. When I slide the rear, I get massive degradation.

"It's definitely something I think you have to get used to. Supposedly, it took Carlos a couple of years to get used to. I don't want to do that."
Sainz was driving a completely different car and his driving style was not like that.
The more oversteery the car the further away from LEC he was

I suspect this is similar to what happens with VER’s teammates but to a lesser degree.

Of course they are both dealing with the exact same shortcomings of the machine.

It seems it may not be the fastest way around anymore. Or was it ever? Verstappen no longer dominates f1. You have a car in the McLaren where a rookie can jump in in one day and is immediately on the pace of Piastri. So perhaps a neutral balance is best for this generation of cars in their current life cycles when this wasn’t true when they were first introduced.

The McLaren has just much, much more downforce than the other cars and way less limitations.

While we didn't see a massive jump in pace or anything, from the interviews post-race it sounds like the drivers and team are pleased with the results of the new floor. That's good news for whenever the suspension arrives.

My feeling is that the "much more downforce" statement may not be true.

We tend to match them in high speed corner minimum speed which indicates that downforce is very close.

My humble opinion is that they are far superior on the mechanical side (suspension) and tyre management (brake ducts maybe?)

Check the performance in high speed in the first stint.

Did the aero team and chassis team only communicate through 'file transfer' or did they actually have human-to-human meetings in a room ?
Regardless, quite the L from Cardille.

He’s been gone for over a year… no one checked his work in the winter??
