Well this I guess is the problem. Seems Norris will cop it at least.Luscion wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:41Yea the entire grid would get a penalty since they all drove off eventuallyastracrazy wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:40So where do you stop then with that? They all broke the rules.

You stop the race and give a red flag. Also there are radio comms. FIA has no clue how to run the race. If he is a safety car, then he should be allowed to circle the track... And everyone that went over the line breached the rules, no matter who was first to do it.stewie325 wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:42Norris caused this mess by not knowing the rules.Luscion wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:41Yea the entire grid would get a penalty since they all drove off eventuallyastracrazy wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:40

In such a situation, the lead car is the de-facto safety car.
So he should have a penalty for this really..
When its Norris, rules don't need to be followed, when it is Verstappen, the punishment cannot be hard enough...Tvetovnato wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:43Would anyone really want to see a sporting penalty though? The race hasn’t even started. Silly.
Max and two or three others waited for the green light. Would not get a penaltymotobaleno wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:43either just norris or all. everyone sooner or later followed norris.
Sainz will be happy to hearLuscion wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:41Yea the entire grid would get a penalty since they all drove off eventuallyastracrazy wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 17:40So where do you stop then with that? They all broke the rules.

Controversial episode. As far as I remember, the first pilot always takes the place of the SC. If he leaves, the others must and can go also for safety reasons on the return of the cars to the grid
