He is winning races in a car that is nowhere near as fast or strong overall as the Mclaren. That in itself can be considered schooling, I don't it that implies necessarily that mclaren drivers drive poorly, but they still allow Max winning. Did you see them winning races ahead of Max in 2024 let alone in 2023 when Max red bull was so much faster and better car overall? in any format? I do not think that has happened once, at best they could win when it was close, like Jeddah this year, and still I do remember hearing (or reading) from Mclaren fans how 'Oscar schooled Max'.
Mcalren drivers were not necessarily driving poorly during the Sprint, but still they should not have allowed Max winning if they are so good strong drivers, by taking the front row in SQ to start with.
Lando 6 tenths deficit to Oscar is as embarrassing as Oscar deficit of 4 tenths to Lando in Austria. Did not cost them anything there, costed them at Spa. Even if that is completely irrelevant from a championship point of view, they drivers aim to win every race, every quali to get and stay ahead.
So, it that sense he is schooling them. They both know very well their car is well good enough to win every since race this year. They are not though.

No, I went into this topic to challenge the notion that Max ”schooled” the McLaren drivers, when there clearly were more factors at play than Max being a god and the McLaren drivers were underperforming. No one has said what Piastri should have done differently to not be considered being schooled. But it never seems to get that far in any discussion with most people in this thread, as the only conclusion always is what you quoted me on. I.e. no substance, only fanboyism straight through. Not at all. I personally do not think so, quite the opposite. I do consider this modern grid to be the most talented, skillful, well-trained and overall best ever. This grid is head and shoulders above anything we've seen in 80s, 90s and 2000s. No question about that whatsoever. And the fact that Max is considered simultaneously the fastest and overall best driver and by margin(by many) makes his achievements ever more special and elevates him as a driver up higher a historical scale of F1. We've been lucky to see that in our lifetimes because we won't see another driver like that any time soon. Why not celebrate that?
if we take Max T1 mistake into account, the real gap is around 0.45s which is indeed better than yesterday. So, the floor works, it is worth 0.05s.
Yes, I can see him challenging them if it gonna be really wet, not just marginally damp.
