New oerformance engineer is on the front page article for F1 technicat. Mr. Hatz.
Dont spread false information. Johannes Hatz is still Charles performance engineer. He was in the Charles box the entire weekend.

Luca Diella. They worked together at Mercedes.
Isn't Jock Clear Charles performance engineer?
no, he is currently the driver coach for Charles Leclerc. (whatever that means, as a F1 driver needs a coach  )

I don't think the drivers have any delusions about getting close to McLaren, lol

Leclerc said multiple times post race they aren't anywhere near McL still.
Do not let that stop agitators from entering the thread, making charged, bombastic, inflammatory comments. lol

Every driver on the grid has a coach, often more than one, a lot go to specialists for tyre wear and behaviour training too when compounds or carcasses get changed. So yes, they do need a coach. You don't stay at the top without putting all the work in you can.

yes, motorsport article about Hatz has been taken down and pretty much all the major news have been withdrawn

Besides, how do you expect ,that in the middle of the season, Leclerc's engineer will be assigned to Hamilton just because he's been struggling after half a year of driving the car?

According to Lewis the reason he had to lico for so much of the race is because Ferrari underfueled his car for the bigger wing they put on. At least it wasn't for brakes or plank wear this time
They expected more rain then. If they had those extra four laps behind the safety car a podium might have been on the cards maybe?
Podium mayybbbee? Definitely would have finished higher though

To be more clear (get it? ) Jock Clear is not officially on Leclerc's team anymore. Maybe he still acts as a personal coach for Leclerc since they're close but he isn't in Leclerc's garage technically. He is the head of the FDA (Ferrari Driver Academy) and that's his primary role in Ferrari.

As woocasz says, Leclerc's current performance engineer is Johannes Hatz, he took over the position when Bozzi was promoted to race engineer.

Diella seems to be the new engineer for Hamilton, if you look up his CV he has been with Ferrari for a few months and he previously worked at Mercedes.

Reflecting on his spin in the sprint qualifying that cost him a shot at a better starting position, Hamilton has revealed that a new component that was first tested by Charles Leclerc at Montreal contributed to the incident.

“Obviously with the upgrade that we have, there's basically two elements to it. One of those elements, we had it to test back in Montreal, but I didn't end up testing it. Charles did. He ended up using part of it for a couple of races.

"So he definitely did a great job today. He's feeling more comfortable and acclimatised. For me, it was the first time using it and that spin we had caught me out because I didn’t expect it.

Why didn't Hamilton have the new parts since Canada that Leclerc had?
It doesn't turn.
