Hope it would be clear now. Max lost his rear bumping out of the curb, touched and damaged Lewis' floor, the impact of which forced Lewis' front to swing and touch Max.

Monologues on discussion platforms are silly ..
Anyway, I'm with Sieper; from what I see Ham takes the risk by cutting deep in the corner leaving barely a cars width. All very understandable as turn 2 is a left. By cutting that deep (while not in front) he takes the genuine risk of sending the RB out on the curb, knowing all too well that curb might affect control of the RB (and even hurt himself). He is willing to take the risks as he wants to end his win-free-streak since Summer and knows Ves is his only real opponent this race, so therefor needs to clear Ves within the 1st 3 corners (and WDC is already safe). That is why he takes that risk.
And while afterwards he and Vet are all about pointing to that guy that always needs extra space for safety, yet they themselves are the culprits replicating years and years of media training.
I used to like them a lot as drivers, but this constant moaning and groaning while driving a superior car starts to annoy quite a bit.
But hey .. ofcourse it's not the truth, it's just an opinion.
