How sneaky of Redbull to give £40m deal for Max without informing Helmut Marko, otherwise he would have blocked it since he thought a similar deal for Lewis was too expensive for formula one!

48 000 pounds is too expensive for a new VW Polo, but it's a good price for a Porsche 718 Boxter

indeed, but if you have a Volvo, you might complain that the Porsche is too expensive for a car.

Yip, now that Volvo thinks outside the "box" we can call it a car... :D

Red Bull sure is hoping the salary cap doesn't include driver salaries any time soon!
I'm fairy certain mercedes is in the same boat on this topic.

Lewis's contract ends next year, and George's is still mid range amount wise if memory serves!

Do you think that could be why the long contract? Oops, sorry F1 its already signed and we can not change it next year, or the one after you will have to wait until it expires
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Any deal Hamilton re-signs will be worth minimum Verstappen's current one and then some. I don't believe driver salaries are coming into cost cap any time soon.

Even if they are, Red Bull Racing can sign Max for a lower amount and then Red Bull Energy Drinks (whatever the parent company is actually called) signs a marketing deal with him worth the rest....
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

You would hope the FIA is smart enough To close such an obvious loophole.

Lewis has got 2 years of contract and then, I believe, he'll retire. From then on, it'll be personal sponsorship deals for a few years which will probably be worth as much as any driver contract anyway.

💫 🥳 🎉 🍾 💫 🥳 🎉 🍾 💫 🥳 🎉 🍾

Max signed a new +5 years contract! Will be soon announced.

He wouldn't do that if he didn't believe in the strenght of the Honda PU and his team.

Or maybe he has burn his bridges and the other two big teams don’t want him? or like you said Red Bull is the place to be with all the money rolling in. And plan to produce a complete F1 car in-house .
