If I know Max a bit, I think he couldn't care less, especially in a race situation: if he sees an opportunity to win a race, he will divebombs into Lando as much as into Oscar.WardenOfTheNorth wrote: ↑22 Sep 2025, 12:06Just how good friends are Max and Lando?
If Max ends up completely out of the WDC hunt, but is still mixing it with Lando and Oscar, I wonder if he might be convinced to help his friend out. Perhaps he could make it easier for Lando to overtake than Oscar for example?
The car will run maximum downforce and track temperatures will be high and the tires will be softer .so more variables to worry about. Mercedes will suffer from high heat Ferrari will be a question mark usually they do well in street circuits but there Baku performance was not convincingeuv2 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2025, 04:28I don't see any corners in Singapore that should cause the RB21 any problems in particular, this car has mostly suffered on long radius corners, the types that are plenty in in Hungary and Zandvoort. Singapore is mostly sharp corners, very Baku like in that regard, most corners in low 100kmph range, not much in the MCL 160-220 range; the only major obstacles will be kerbs and how quickly the car settles from the bumps. Last year the RB20 avoided the kerbs like the plague, whilst Norris ran over them wherever he could, no problem. I expect Max to do more of this, this time round. If so, Max will be very competitive.
At no point during the Baku race was Norris really threatening Yuki, spent the end of the 1st stint 2secs away and not really able to close the gap. The MCL didn't really look particularly strong in the race in any sectors this weekend. I was expecting them to be strong in sector 2 but didnt happen. Max was by far the best in sector 2. Norris did have dirty air but usually MCL pace is strong enough to overcome this.
RB21 since the Monza upgrades has looked really solid all round, performance in the Lesmos and Parabolica with lower downforce Rear wing was really encouraging and now in Baku, performing really well in the low speed, esp. in race pace. Need a bit more luck to go our way but if Max can keep this up, the pressure will keep mountning and PIA will have to decide between keeping it safe and really going for it. 1 more DNF/stinker from Oscar is needed to really spice things up, as it will deter from MCL focussing on 1 driver. I'm happy that RBR has actually found something, this middle patch of the season was dire.
I do not think the place is reflecting the pace. He finally had a good Q run, while many others bottled it. Without PIA, NOR, LEC, HAM, bottling it, maybe HAD having a rather bad Q, he would have started again on P10 best.

Brazil 22 right? But Max on track doesn't care about friendships and all. It's full send.
Nothing its just a youtuber which is not happy when his team is not winning anymore. Just being salty thats it…johnny vee wrote: ↑22 Sep 2025, 16:44
What do you guys think of this.
Suspicion that Redbull are doing the changes on steering wheel from pit or running automatic and that the driver is not doing the changes. If this is so, and it's a big if, would it be illegal?
The engine mode is normal. The RB21 is not a low drag car. When everyone is running skinny wings RB is competitive but nothing special in terms of drag. What you see here is simply Max running in free air and the others running in a tow.venkyhere wrote: ↑22 Sep 2025, 14:40Something interesting from the Baku race laps data :
