to say that the govt. of the US is misguiding its people would be missing the point. Bush is not the villian here... it is the whole capitalistic system that is destroying the US and other countries. americans are not ignorant as much as greedy, selfish and overly insecure about everything. Im not a communist, competition is good. but the people that have the money are ruling this country. If any of you have seen the documentary film called "the corporation" then you know what im talking about. I highly recommend it.

Americans are very critical of the president, but I would bet the majoraty would make the same decisions because of the financial benefits. take pop culture for example, whats the most watched type of show.....look at the reality TV shows as the example of the american spirit: "I would do anything you want for money or for people to like me, eat worms, marry an ugly person, lie and cheat, you name it I will put all of my values away for it".

there is something wrong... much bigger than the president... the people quickly point fingers to the easiest scapegoat, but are afraid to look into the mirror.

I can tell that your well educated and very intelligent.
[/quote]

Well, the thing is that I am not implying that every american is like what you saw in the video, its just the vibe you get from them. Come on, that old citizen said three world wars, calling a Mosque an animal etc etc. I bet you wont find any one like that here in England mate.

I know lots of people dont like Bush but let me tell you something, their is nothing you can do about it, he is gonna win again since the elections are all preplanned and crap! The american citizens love USA and I have seen it my self, however I am afraid the bush adminstration is strong enough to play with your heads and swap your liberty with security.

Come on think about it. Dont tell me who doesnt want security but hey the sort of security you guys are getting in an exchange of your liberty is not fair. The excuse is terrorists right? Ooooo Bush is saving you from Osama and ---, come on mate its all bullshit. Thats why I called Americans ignorant.

Actually he is not allowed to run for the 2008 term.

When you say "you," you should target a direct audience instead of calling all of us the same. Kerry won all the Californian electoral votes, I believe, by a big margin. Our state is probably the most liberal out there and sure as hell not stupid enough to believe in Bush. We ar the world's third biggest economy, so I don't think we are that retarded not to believe in Bush.

The video however is somewhat accurate of the country's awareness of political events. I believe over half this country could not find the United States on a map.

Anyway... Bush IS the villian here. Regardless that half of the country doesn't want to go to war, Bush is encouraging them to support his Iraq campaign. He is using "God says this and that" to entice the people, much like the insurgancy is using religion in Iraq. Even when given enough proof that WMDs were absent in Iraq, he changed his position to "oh, now we have to get rid of Saddam." It's just too bad that we have retards saying how much we hate this country since we don't want to go to war. Hell they don't even participate themselves, but send the children of others to do their bidding.

Bush is misguiding the gullible people. He is using 9/11 as an excuse to invade Iraq when there was enough proof to say the country had little threat to the U.S. Then you look at Dick(head) Cheney and how he is related to Halliburton... it's hard not to believe that the Bush administration is in it for the money.

Have you ever been to the U.S. ???
I have been to the U.K twice and I can tell you that when most Americans think of England, they think of drug addicks on every corner, burglers, gangs, prostitudes everyplace and just really gets described as an awful place full of Violence. This is the perception that most of the Americans
That I know tend to have twords the English. Why because this is what the media portrays and shows. I will tell you this and I have told this to many people. On my trips to England what I found was that for the most part the people were very nice and respectful. Not at all what I was expecting.
Does the UK have its problems and bad people? Yes it does same as the U.S. and Canada, Australia, Mexico, Venezeula, Panama, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Spain.
These are the Countries I have been to. I will also be going to Pakistan, Greece, and Cypres this year and hopefuly Israel as well.

Point of all this is that people are the same all over this planet.

There are things about the U.S. that I am critical of and I feel I have a right to be because I pay taxes here and I vote. There are many Americans who complain but don't vote. Those are the people who really get me mad. complain and complain but don't do nothing.

As for governments, The U.S. is far from perfect, but its better than anyplace on this planet. You don't see people trying to sneak into other countries like the U.S.

Indeed, its nice to hear some proper stuff from an American. I can bet that your next president would be either Kerry or some other SKULL AND BONES member. Yeps Kerry is also Skull and Bones. Now dont tell me you dont know what that is ok. And yeah what do you think about the Bohemein Groove?

You can say the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are an excercise in showing our military power, just in case somebody wants to screw the U.S. In this case the best defense comes from a good offense.

However, the question is did we really need to go there in the first place. Even though some Iraqis were feeling the wrath of Saddam, did we really need to butt in? The result of the invasion is Bush's approval rating around 30% (lowest in recent memory) and a bunch of Americans demanding answers, but not getting them.

As for the Patriot Act, in principle the government spying on us is lame. However, I have yet to actually feel the negative effects of it. I don't go calling people with the fact that the government is listening. However, the "protection" you question is apparent - did you hear about the recent sting of around 17 Canadian youths? They were hiding in terror cells plotting attacks in the U.S. I feel that without this "protection" it would have never caught the eye of Americans. Unfortunately 9/11 taught us that we are not as invincible as we would like to be.

Edit: BTW jgredline, do you have experience with 350Zs?

Iraqis feeling the wrath of Saddam! Your kidding me right!

Look, Saddam was Americas pet who decided to show his finger to America after he was sent their to do a particular job. Look whats happening to him now, the guy is being trialed on something that is apparent. He could have been killed ages ago like his sons. What they want to show by this trial to the current Iraqi Govt. is if you dont listen to us than this is what will happen to you as well. Come on mate use your head!

I think it was Rumsfield who said this about Saddam "He is son of a bitch but he is OUR son of a bitch" get it! Same goes to Osama, former CIA sent to Afghanistan during the Russain invasion.

I don't like the war in IRAQ any more than anybody here.
How ever I will say this. Since 911 we have not been attacked since. believe me that Alquaida would love nothing better that to attack us again.
Why was Spain attacked??
Why was the UK attacked??
Why was saudi arabia attacked??
West is correct in that another plan was foiled in Canada. Canadians thought they were in a safe haven, but now they are all of a sudden concerned with this terrorist activity.
You hear constantly of countries getting attacked by terrorsit all over this planet yet the most hated country in the world has not been attacked with this President Bush in the Whitehouse since 911..

If you're going to slam my country, miqi23, get your --- straight first.

Osama wasn't "sent" by the CIA, he and his Mujahadin were trained and supplied by them to fight the Russians in the 1980's. Saddam was backed by the CIA in the 1968 coup that put (though not immediately) him in power and was similarly aided in the war with Iran, also in the 1980's. (Hmmm, who was President in the 1980's, and what were his staff's names?)

Both played the puppet role while it suited them. Then they turned on the puppeteers. You may be correct about the reason for the trial, but a few pictures of him with bullets in his head would drive that point home harder. But we do have that trial and it has turned into a sham. Just like most everything the Wolfowitz-Rumsfeld-Cheney crew gets it's hands on.

Remember the movie 'All the Presidents Men' about Watergate? The character Deep Throat told the reporter to "...follow the money...". Try that with this administration and remember while you're researching it, that Rumsfeld was a Nixon aide. Also look into where Cheney and Wolfowitz were then. And then come back and tell me why Paul Wolfowitz is now head of The World Bank.

You may want to start with their roles in the Reagan administration and work back before you work forward.

Also look into how many Three and Four Star Generals have 'retired' since 9/11/2001, and what their roles were at the time. You just may find that even the elite of America's warriors don't want anything to do with this war.

This is a corrupt administration that is going to leave a big footprint on history. One that will leave us all feeling the effects for a long time to come.

I thought you're impartial when you said that we shouldn't talk about this anymore in this forum. Now it’s obvious that when you suggest "Keep this web site about F1" it was an attempt to silence those who'd say bad things about Bush and flock that votes for him. I am disappointed a lot and not because you voted for Bush but because you haven’t been honest (up till now).

Now I'm only more convinced that living in US has nothing to do with good understanding of US gov. actions because that can be done on any spot of the planed and all it takes is brain, some knowledge about history and access to news.

I don't really support miqi's "all Americans are this or that approach" because "We all know that people are the same where ever we go...there is good and bad in everyone..". Unfortunately, my opinion is also that "where ever we go", in any society, there's at least 1% more bad people than good people. So, I'm actually feeling sorry for that unfortunate minority (globally) including US.

Sadly, I think that in the '60s, '70s and '80s they were even greater minority but back than they dared to take action against backward tendencies in society witch lead to explosion of human freedoms but nowadays except for guys like Michael Moore for example I see no one raising its voice. Nixon had god and The Carpenters and Bush has god and Britney Spears so it’s all pretty clear.
