If it was to do with the Horner sacking he wouldn't have received a 9 figure severance package...
I don't know, CH had a valid contract that got terminated early by the employer.
Were there more DNFs last year than 2021? Then could be.
Eh, what... DNFs? I don't get it

I believe part of 2021 budget cap breach was also due to many crashes (Silverstone, Hungary etc). Silverstone was alone a few million pounds worth budgeting.

Yeah Perez wrecked the car at Monaco and suffered 5 race ending crashes
But I doubt they'd let themselves get it wrong like 2021 again

The walls are closing in, Bill. Your excuses won't work here. Yuki is being supported 100% in this team. Yuki now has his car setup like it was at VCARB.

“Laurent has helped me with a lot of things. The set-up that I tried two races ago, for example, was the one that I used at almost every race at VCARB” Tsunoda explained. “I kind of forgot about these things, also that specific set-up, as I thought it was default at the previous team. When I came to this team, it was different how they set up the car and things like that.” “Laurent told the engineering side 'okay, Yuki was doing these kinds of things to add some performance on one of the axles or to drive it around certain corners'. When I tried those things in the Red Bull car, they actually still worked,” Tsunoda explained. “The feeling that I got from the car is much more familiar now, more what I used to have.”

Mekies has done everything in his power to make him comfortable.

Tsunoda himself swiftly admitted that during media day in Singapore. “Without Laurent's ideas, I wouldn't have been able to come up with it myself. That's what I appreciate. Also on the relationship side, it's always been very good. It's literally what I used to have at VCARB. It feels exactly the same, just the team logos are different now when I speak with him!”

Yes he didnt have the parts so things looks like they are about to change so no need to argue over basic facts every weekend we look like idiots. Yuki was never redbull first choice he was bought in to use his experience to help fix the car if you believe pr.but for some reasons his episode at redbull have been used as second seat drama to sell news by media weather he deserves that seat it's irrelevant.

He posted an image of a Mercedes hat in his instagram after a story about current budget cap breach discussions, like read between the lines. Anyway as I said, take that with a big pinch of salt.

Yes but who is “he”? There are many Italian commentators, not all of them are very credible.

Floor upgrades earlier than I had hoped, but sounds like an optimization/modification job.

Also sounds like the engine cover upgrade is a modification job of the new spec, wider engine cover introduced at Singapore, but isn't just specific to Mexico like many teams' engine cover will be. It'll be useable at any other hot races (Qatar, Abu dhabi for instance)

Well well well. They did tell us. Marko was a bit vague on the timing but reading between the lines it seemed they would come sooner rather than later. I thought Brazil but this is obviously better. Game on!

That Monza floor unlocked so much performance it's insane. Reminds me of the floor they bolted on in 2022 on the final day of testing in Bahrain. They couldn't contain their smiles then. Hopefully they can smile now.

Technical team deserves so much 👏.

If this is true, Horner's presence will be sorely missed. He would have cooked them so hard 💀

Yuki with new front wing so he should be close to max. If Oscar has another off-weekend maybe Yuki can get between Oscar and max

That would be ideal. Let's hope Yuki for once can be between 3 to 4 tenths off Max. That will be very good progress. He might even be retained if he proves a capable second driver for the last 5 races.

They said that decision would be taken around Mexico GP. So far this weekend Yuki seems quite tense (eg press conference). Imo he has already been told that he isn't at red bull next season
