Surely must be engine modes and fuel. 1.5 sec is too large

Dont think its fuel because Lando did 57 laps. A proper full race stint for Bahrain. Not sure if fuel tanks can hold more than 100 liters in F1 cars.

But there could definitely be different engine modes between them. Perhaps Ferrari running more conservative on power to hold their horses (pun intended) close to their chest.

2 seconds is way too much to be honest. The last stint can’t possibly be fully comparable for reasons we don’t know.

Edit: Apparently Leclerc was on C1 for the last stint so the last stint is not comparable.

But on the other stints, if you line them up there was a gap of around 0.3s - 0.4s per lap on average.

0.4 secs/lap was what I had down too.

Hopefully there are some other non-immediate factors that can make up that gap, but also I wouldn't be surprised if McLaren really was 0.4s/lap faster.

The car certainly looks easier to drive than the SF-25, though it seems Ferrari did make an improvement in that area compared to yesterday at least.
