Not this again. If they want to do it, they should do it right. That means starting or buying a junior team (not sure who would be available) and then having that junior team develop the engine for 2 or 3 years, only then should McLaren jump ship to a new engine supplier.
To be honest, I think that McLaren doesn't need to do it, Renault is close in engine power and the majority of the gap is in the chassis department. If McLaren started fighting for wins on less power hungry tracks, then we could talk about switching to someone else (like Red Bull did).
