Do you thing a "Leclerc COTA strategy" will work in Mexico?
For Lando to start on soft to increase the chances to T1 drag race, and to mantain P1, after that to benefit from clean air to look after the tires?
That should be the way to go. It's a smooth surface with virtually no degradation. One stop race. Save the P1 after turn 1 and keep pushing when required.
This track is usually one of the better tracks for overtakes. How much do you think we should fear T1, especially if we can get more from the tyres?
I think everyone will start on softs.
Laura when talking to Ruth and James after the quali said they heard Lando asking people prediction the gap he will win the race. I don't know if this arrogance or super trust but I am satisfied with a gap of 0.1 but to be P1venkyhere wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 19:15IMHO, Norris shouldn't worry about being ahead at T1 at all... the car is vastly superior, and he is able to use the car's advantages really really well. Start on soft, don't fight the L1T1 madness, doesn't matter if positions are lost. The tarmac is going to be super hot. Every other car will slide and McLaren can 'kickup their advantage' before halfway through the first stint, and use the 3 DRS zones to overtake easily. Concentrate on preserving they tyres and do the S-M strategy. Win by 30-40 seconds.
That would be a great battle to see.
