I think a podium here considering how the weekend went is absurd. Wdc is on but not really in Max's hands
I think Max got help from above,he should have been penalized for cutting corner on the first lap that was a clear fia want to make thing exciting and its good for business. Max should have been penalized for overtake he made on lando in monza he left him no room.he tend to get away with too many transgressions. hass pitted when they didn't have to Ayao komatsu a former Honda employee who knows what he was thinking when he pitted Berman who was on podium position.
Verstappen has transgressed the 'rules' many times in the past, and he has been rightly punished each time. He gained 1 position after the lap1 turn1 runoff (to Hamilton) and he gave it back immediately.
Either you read the rules (which keep changing and which are decided between FIA/Race-control and drivers in pre-race meetings, and widely agreed upon and then published by FIA) or you keep quiet. Listening is better than talking, when one has no idea what is the point being discussed. Please don't treat F1technical like a facebook wall or twitter status where you get to 'vent off' your hatred for a particular driver. It's a humble request. And no, 'ive been watching F1 for 20 years' excuse won't cut any ice here because number of years watching someting doesn't make the observer 'correct'. This is not the military, to 'pull rank'.

It sometimes happens that I come across opinions that tend to discredit the value of a Formula 1 driver. Of the added value they can bring to a team, of their ability to make a difference. How many drivers in the world would be capable of doing this?
-Robert Chinchero

This is why GP said the stint was insane, because it really was. Not even Lando Norris in his rocketship had managed to drive so consistently while battling with free air. It reminded me of the final stint here in 2022.

Amazing how much better it got once they put the softs on. Don´t understand why they didn´t feel the need to put at least one car on softs on friday. Might have changed a few things. Hardly any deg after a 30 lap stint (the car was lighter by then, sure)

They needed to run 2 tires in the race. Would it have changed anything?

Verstappen's race pace was excellent cosidering the circumstances. He could have been somewhat close to Norris if not killing the first set of tires on the grass. I think they did setup the car for race pace.

Well they were clearly in a good place in quali trim on Friday but the medium long run made them think that they were nowhere. With greater knowledge of how bad the medium was / how much of the race would be run on softs (due to their relative strength) they might've approached setup changes for Saturday differently

But this is all said with hindsight

This is true. They wouldn't have wasted FP3 on the monaco rear wing and would have saved a new set of softs like Leclerc and Norris did instead of the 6 lap old one that he raced with. but could, would,should...Can't do anything about it now.
