I don't know how the racepace will be, but I doubt we will be able to challenge Ferraris under normal conditions here as well.

If we pass them at the start they won't have the speed to get past. We can use the Sprint Race to pass one of them at the Sprint and the second one tomorrow. It's our best chance.

Too much doom and gloom. I reckon we were better than we looked in Mexico. Dan had the edge on Lando and we never got to see his full pace near the front. Having said that he was still able to hold off a Merc in his damaged car which is no mean feat.

Here we are barely a tenth off Ferrari and 2/10s off Gasly. Noone knows how tyre wear will go. Our big advantage is rocketing off the start line. We get to do that twice then our top speed makes us hard to pass. A perfect combo to exploit to hold position in a less than perfect car. Still well and truly in it up to our necks in the race for 3rd.

Hamilton's car might have been found with illegalities regarding the DRS and might be facing a disqualification. Max Verstappen might also face a penalty himself for having breached park ferme conditions as only officials can be there.

This helps Ferrari though, they start further up. Normally I would be confident to get them on the start, but its a very short run to T1 here.

Mercedes have a problem with their engine this year. Maybe they choose to run it higher and that causes high degradation. Our team may choose to run it lower so that we dont have any reliability issues.

We are ready for today's Sprint Race and tomorrow's Race. In order for Mclaren to be able to get turn the tables both drivers must pass Sainz's Ferrari today and stay in front which shouldn't be hard with their better top speed and then Leclerc tomorrow. If we manage that we can have a good chance of beating Ferrari. Otherwise I don't see how we can beat them as their car after the upgrade is half a tenth to 1 tenth faster but still faster.

Two Great starts (Sprint and Race) will make a huge difference.

So all in all, we managed to get one Ferrari, but with the other gaining a point in P3, and Ricciardo starting from way back, it did not turn out great for us I would say.

I don't know what is going on with the second Red Bull driver seat but whoever sits there becomes useless. Perez showed me that he is not top team material unable to pass a slower car with hurting tyres. Good job to Lando Norris passing one Ferrari and showing that with the same tyres he could have goten Sainz also. Today Lando was faster than both Ferraris. Daniel I am dissapointed yet again. A faster car and yet unable to pass anyone. He is costing us this 3rd place. Even if Lando reaches and passes Sainz he is fighting alone and that is not enough.
