Rodolfo has meanwhile posted an update. With a reply, saying that the track would "likely" dry up before the sprint

as it may stay dry now, here's what tires everyone has left. No idea what they need to keep for tomorrow. S-M (-M)? 2023 it was a two-stopper for everyone

(I'll try upload to imgbb now as long as imgur is banned for some, btw. If I forget about it, just let me know)

edit: must be two used softs for VER, obviously

the track is still a bit damp, but Bayer just said that starting on inters is no option for anyone in these conditions.

mixed tire choices there, with a.o. the Mercedes and Verstappen on softs. Should be interesting.

This is quite some collapse from Piastri now. Astonishing end to his season.

It’s too early to write him off.

was there much Piastri could do today, though? Antonelli could see Norris leaving water on the track, Piastri probably not.

edit: well, seeing the close-ups of those kerbs, they probably should have avoided them altogether.

He was pushing to get Antonelli. I saw a wiggle a lap before.

Piastri for all his cool does suffer from overdriving when behind, same thing as Baku.

everyone in front will probably need to take a new set of softs now. Not ideal for Qualifying.

Its just very tough in traffic compared to clean air, we've seen this all year when a drivers leads into turn one its pretty much done. He must get on on the front row later and give himself a chance to lead into turn one

I thought avoiding kerbs is typically the norm in these types of tracks precisely because you just spin off if you take a regular line due to the water. I am not sure what was Max's line in general, but he carefully avoids them in Lap 1.

Edit: Looks like he almost lost it as well but saved it.

Why rolling? Not a bit of rain since.
