We live in a tiny country village at the bottom of a valley about 4 miles from Lockerbie, very hilly, often very wet and over the last few days very windy too. We don't live on a farm but we've managed to aquire 4 sheep, 2 chickens a cat and a dog with a horse arriving soon.

Scotland is an amazing place with everything from large industrial and tourist cities to little cottage on top of snowy mountains, go to the top of any large hill and you'll likely be able to look down at a valley or loch, if you can see through the fog.
Bring warm clothes if you ever come on a visit, in summer it can be the hottest part of the UK but in winter it's bloody cold.

This exact video is what I based my earlier statment about him on. Like I said before, good on him for thinking for himself. But if he's supports everyone helping out, he should put his money where his mouth is. By making that statement while signing his enlistment papers, he would make his point. I've been to war, and I don't want anyone else to go, regardless of who they are and what 'class' they are in. Ever. War is a horrible thing, but sometimes it's unavoidable. Not now, but it has been in the past.

I was wondering if you lived on a farm Tom. I've never had a thing for horses. Maybe it's my own lack of understanding, but I don't ride animals that think for themselves. That's probably a bad way to think about it, but so far I haven't had any injuries from falling off a horse or anything else. Sounds like a very nice place. I might just end up going there one day.
