New safetycar!

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

New safetycar!

Post

Mercedes has been the producer of F1 safetycars since 1997 now, and will go on with that from now with the brand new CLK 55 AMG coupé.

Bernd Maylander with be the lucky driver as usual, who previously also drove the CLK 55 AMG, CL 55 AMG and the oldest of Mercedes' safetycars, the SL 55 AMG.

the saftey car idea is stupid... its simply there for publiccity... i mean if they can use pit lane speed limiter... why cant they ask all drivers to do the same when there is a SC period... rather than making the poor fellow drive a road car to the limit ....
The difference between montoya and god : god does'nt think he is montoya

Hummm...well....the safety car isn't a normal road car....the CLK 55 AGM....was 5 cm lower, 10 cm wider and the engine electronics were slighty diferente (it didn't have a limiter)......so it isn't a normal road car... :P

It also had some small diferences....but this are the main ones....well it isn't easy to control the drivers so it is a little hard to convence them to drive slowly if there isn't a car in front of them....unless you create a SC button! :P
