I wonder if anyone has any info. on the differences of the characteristics betweeb Bridgestone and Michelin. It seems certain that Bridgestone will win races this year and if Imola was anything to go by, they can be dominant on their day.
Traditionally, Bridgestone tyres cope well with curbs due to their more-rounded shoulders (compared to Michelin). Is this still the case?
Once again, the Bridgestone tyre also seems to heat up more slowly (perhaps they are just less durable therefore harder) than Michelin. If the two tyre manufacturers can gain some sort of parity then we could have an excellent season.
Im thinking of all the li'l starving Africans...

what people in F1 put in tyres?? air or special mix of inertional gases??

michelin works so good in qualy because they take temperature sooner than bridgestone, and as we had seen in first races with higher temperatures bridgestone is a complete mess, and only one good race with about 20ºC in imola where bridgestone tyres worked better than michelin ones. Bridg must be testing with ferrari loads of km to made good tyres so i spect they'll be some kind of "parity" in next races

Nitrogen.
Are you sure that they put Nitrogen instead AIR???

not just nitrogen, it's a mixture of air and nitrogen, it's better to minimise changes in preassure when temperature changes.

putting nitrogen in car tyres are quite common now days.. they are starting to put it in road cars now... go down to the local tyre shop.. most probly they offer that service!!!!

Yep... and apparently those service centers that offer "Nitrogen" fillups are actually selling dry air.

It's the moisture in the air that's causing the most pressure fluctuations.
