As far as records go, Seb's stats in WRC are even more unlikely than a certain Mr Schumacher's in F1 to be beaten.
Here are some of those:

9 consecutive driver's titles since 2004 (Kankkunen and Makinen have 4 each)
75 rally victories (Gronholm has 30, then Sainz 26 and McRae 25)
874 stage wins (Alen has 801 and Sainz 757)
Fastest rally (Finland 2012, avg speed of 122.9km/h
Has won all but 3 tarmac WRC events since 2005!
3 times winner of the Race of Champions
2nd in the 24h of Le Mans in 2006!

Arguably, Loeb has been very unlucky in his career in that the quantity and quality of drivers and manufacturers involved in the sport has been steadily declining over the years that he competed. Had he been racing along the likes of Makinen, Sainz, Gronholm and McRae in the late 1990s-early 2000s he would have had a better chance to prove his skills against some of the best ever WRC drivers. Not to take anything away from his amazing achievements, but the WRC has not really been as competitive in the last decade as it used to be. Still, what a career! Here's hoping that he will return to endurance racing, touring cars and Dakar rallying.
