Those are pre-WWII grand prix Audi cars, not F1.

No you got it wrong, when I read your post saying “AUDI F1 cars” I thought - "how come I never heard of Audi being in F1?". So I followed the link you provided and felt “relief” after seeing that those are Autounion pre-WWII cars. That is why I posted my previous post, not as correction but more as out loud thinking/self reassurance

BTW, Tazio Nuvolari at the wheel of Autounion grand prix car won the one and only Grand Prix held DURING WWII in September 1939 in Belgrade.
