On topic...

She was pretty good doing the MotoGP coverage and had a great rapport with the riders...

I reckon she will do very well.

Where did the rest of the thread go... sigh, aren't we allowed to have a little fun on and off the topic too??????

But yeh, the question is not if she will be good, for she will. She will be very professional and very good at her job, however Jake is now the yard stick, and I can't see anybody measuring up. That's the unfortunate truth, she is going to seem bad by comparison.

I see no pictures of her. Are there any?

richard leeds was here.

Suzi Perry will be a great addition to the BBC team, gonna mis Humphrey though: It'll be good with a change of pace, she'll bring a new energy to the broadcast, still enjoy the bbc broadcast more than sky!

Although I was used to the DC-JH-EJ trio, Suzi is a good presenter, I think she will do good.

I find the amount of baby sitting on bbc AND sky in their pre-race shows to be quite disgusting from 2012 on. Its like they assume every person watching is a 10 year old kid who needs to be told even the most simple thing 100 times over (drs, 18k revs...). kravitz is the only one with some really usefull information in his notebook shows. And as much as some people love EJ, I simply cant stand him and his suggarsweet overthetop additude.

Completely agree with this, I also cant stand DC's love for all things Red Bull (I know he works for them, but he should seperate that fromhis work on the BBC) I watch Sky as it has more Live action and Martin Brundle is IMO the best commentator of recent times.

I still don't get this, every time I watch the BBC coverage I see a McLaren bias, and I say this, as a McLaren fan.

If anything I see Sky as RedBull biased, but only slightly.

I watched the F1 review show today and had to turn it of because I couldn't stomach the crap that EJ and DC were spewing.

The only person I have always enjoyed commentating is Brundle because he is the most unbiased... I also like Jake because he just say it how he seen it.

I think DC is ok personally. He has to work with a clown in EJ, even Des Lynham or any pedigree presenter would struggle to contain him.
At the very least DC gives some first hand driver perspective and what issues they need to tackle at a given track.

I have seen Suzi Perry co-hosting The Gadget Show and was completely unaware of her involvement in MotoGP so these news came as a great surprise to me. However, after watching some of her MotoGP gridwalks from Youtube I must say I was most impressed and wish her all the best for the upcoming 2013 Formula One season.

About Eddie Jordan. He might seem a bit childish at times but let's not forget that there is no other presenter in F1 (at least in Sky or BBC) that can and will get the interviews he gets. I will remember he diving in to a Ferrari press conference after a race for a long time. He was the one that called Lewis Hamilton jumping the ships first in public, he is the one that asks the questions noone else dares to. I absolutely love him on the air.
English is not my native language. Might make obvious mistakes.

He is enjoyable to watch although I actually find EJ a little bit rude sometimes, but maybe that's just me. I don't necessarily call a "good presenter" one who ambushes other's press conferences or interviews to get one for himself, but some of his questions and remarks will certainly be missed.
