Looks like I'll be watching this auction closely, anyone else?

I posted this to gather interest and ideas, 100k is definitely too steep to buy this one (unless complete as you stated).wesley123 wrote:Would Honda still deliver an F1 engine which would fit that? If not you're pretty much going the same road as F1snake did with the Honda RA107. And I believe he bought it much cheaper.
100.000 would be great for a complete car, not for one you have to completely take apart, find an engine for, probably need a new bellhousing or gearbox. Not to mention the fact that if you for example buy the RA107 the factory team can help you out, with here you will not.
They probably bought that thing at the auction for around 10.000, you are being ripped off imo.
And here lies the problem :/ haha....Lurk wrote:"engine included" is - I think - what cost the most. But no contract with BMW to fire it..
Say what now? This is chassis number 4, and set the 7th fastest lap of the race and was the second fastest car through the middle sector!

I would agree with what you and your brother are saying.Lurk wrote:Damn right!Gridlock wrote:And never lend it to a journalist without a signed contract too
ps: I asked my bro about the SA and the BMW (thinking he could have been interested by the first one) and I think you would be interested by his response (a shame he's not a member here, but I know he read this forum several times).
£100,000 is a typical price for a non restored car w/o engine. Plus there is surely no electonics, hydraulics pumps, alternator and gearbox seems empty.
Given their records, BMW is a ripoff. Should cost no more than £420,000-500,000.
