No F1 App for Windows this year

Post

Got this reply from soft payer re the possible extension of the software app to Windows 8 or Windows phone.
Given that win8 has already outsold Mac OSX in less than 2 months and now has an app store and windows phone is due to shortly take over blackberry in market share I would have thought it quite reasonable to expect they were at least working on it.

Unfortunately we have decided to focus on existing platforms for
development this year. Three platforms is quite challenging as it
stands, and Windows is quite a large step away thanks to some
Microsoft design decisions that make the effort complex for us.

Best regards,

Alex

Do not despair good ole Rupert and the Team at SKY F1 HD will most likely make a google play store dynamic app for Windows, blackberry, Samsung phones etc etc (anything that is part of the android/google play market). It may not be as precise but at least you'll hopefully be able to access the news/reports from Ted Kravitz etc etc :)
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

I'm amazed that they have a blackberry app. I mean, do people outside NA really use them? The one thing that bothers me is that Soft Pauer have exclusive rights for the app, so they dictate on what platforms we get the app. I'm sure someone else would come up with a WP8 live timing app if they only had a chance. But because SP don't seem to think it's worth the effort, we WP8 users get absolutely nothing.
