RT @beth_f1: @SkySportsF1 @tedkravitz #AskTed can you see Lewis doing better than Sergio this season, despite Lewis going to Mercedes?
That is a very tough one. Sergio Perez will be in the faster car for most of the year and he’s demonstrated that his strengths lie in racing – picking up big points rather than outright qualifying speed. So provided that he doesn’t crash, I can see Perez scoring a lot of points this year. Hamilton’s racecraft is also not in question, but on purely car performance alone I don’t know how often he’ll be able to finish ahead of the McLarens. To answer your question: I think they’ll end the season on pretty much the same amount of points with Lewis marginally ahead.
Hmmm, that's a pretty bold assertion there isn't it?

What does Ted know that we don't?

Bold? I dont think so, he was asked a question and gave a reasonably straightforward answer based around some logical assumptions.

For what it's worth i think he's probably bang on the mark with all oof the predictins he's made

There's nothing "not bold" about predicting a Mercedes to finish the season ahead of a McLaren car, especially when applying logical assumptions lol.

Not saying he's dead wrong, I'm just a bi sceptical is all.

Does that mean you will go with both sides?

I don't think Ted knows anything much really, I think he gets some juicy gossip but isn't that clued up. I can't see this happening tbh, anything short of an absolute shocker for Perez (like crashing out of half the races) should see him well clear of Lewis considering his car is likely to be a second a lap faster.

And that is where racecraft comes in.
