Desax in F1

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Desax in F1

Post

Do any modern era F1 engines use Desax offset cylinder to crankshaft?

Thanks in advance,

IIRC they use offset based on the asymmetric distribution of combustion loads (and of the gas loads at other times ?)
the bore being so large eg relative to the crank throw and associated rod position
