Another year of Jacques

Post

Well, for me it's great news. BMW will keep him as a driver for the '06 season. Most said it couldn't be done in this era, but Jacques has returned from almost total oblivion.

It's not as good as sex, but I get a warm and fuzzy feeeling from such good news. 8)

Of course he's got it, but it will be difficult the first season...as well for BMW Sauber, Williams F1 and Midland F1 I suppose...

I guess Heidfeld has a good opinion....it won't be easy for the new team.

But Jacques will show his qualities, I'm sure of that

Gooooooooooooooo JV ;)

Well yes very happy to hear that. I don't think they could have found anyone better for the position. Jacques has the experience of building up a new team, of fighting in front, of fighting in the back.
From what kind of person Jacques seems to me he is a hard worker and has an endless motivation. I find it hard to believe anyone can be unhappy with these characteristics.

I think now is the perfect time to finally show the public what he can since many seem to have forgotten what he did in Williams cars from 1996 on. (not to forget what he managed to do before he arrived in F1)

Even though it appears that Jacque's contract did not leave BMW any option but to keep him on the team, he's still my choice too.
His driving skills are still there, and there is no doubt about his motivation. He has enough money in the bank, the only reason he's in F1 is to race.
But one attibute that really makes me happy is his hard nosed attitude towards racing. In this day and age where most F1 drivers seem content to just circulate around the track, Jacques races everyone hard. No one gats by him easy, and he is willing to try a pass if the opportunity presents itself. Yea, he screwed up at Monaco, but hey, at least he tried.
At the other end of the spectrum, when a blue flag is given him, he gives to overtaking car(s) lots of room and opportunity to get by clean and without disturbance. That's good racecraft.

Go Jacques :D

Indeed, JV is still one of the top drivers.
JV and DC...good friends and the only two "veterans" (if I can call them like that) in the F1 circuit who are worthy of their status and their horde of fans.

JV...Show them what you can do

So far, as testing is now underway, it's real nice to see JV doing a lot of laps. Of course it's hard to determine any kind of relationship as to who's the quickest, but JV is turning quick laps.
That's one thing he needs, a lot of laps, time to get ready and acclimated to the car. We all know how far off the pace he was at the start of the '05 season. He improved as the season went along, and was turing respectable times in comparison to his teammate, Massa.
So I'm sure, and happy, that JV is testing so much, is seriously preparing for this upcoming season.
