If you guys have the habit of reading, "The Beast" by Jade Gurss and Mario Illen (the IL in Ilmor) put out a very nice book on the history of the engine that stole the show during the 1994 Indy 500.

And you get a bit of enlightment on the IRL/CART split as you go.
