The car was made with standard car parts and had a tranversally mounted engine from the Lancia Beta because of the lack of a suitable longitudinal gearbox.
The chassis was tubular at the front and at the end and the central section was a double-sided monocoque filled with polyurethane.
The central section had also two lateral sidepod with extrators which improved downforce and prevented the wheels hooking in side-by-side contacts with other cars.
That was the follow-up of the SE025 Formula Italia from 1972.
